Indian doctors develop stem cell cure for nephritis

Doctors in India reported that stem cells manufactured using cells from bone marrow and fat helped repair damage to the kidneys in patients with acute and chronic nephritis, an early-stage kidney disease that can develop resistance to treatments and lead to kidney failure. The doctors also have used the stem cell therapy on 685 kidney transplant patients, considerably reducing the use of anti-rejection drugs.

  1. Yes, umbilical cord blood transplant is an alternative of bone marrow transplants.

Cord blood is very helpful in treatments of more that 85 life threatening disease.
Every parent should save their baby's cord blood to save the family life. I trust on Cryobanks International India for safe cord blood banking services & would recommend the same to others as well.
